oh my god a post

not sure what is inspiring me to post something. but here goes!

here is a scan of one of the images I shot at the wet plate/collodion workshop I took this past summer with Mr. Frank Lopez:

Don’t say I never gave you anything!

iphonography

I took a really great photo workshop on wet-plate/collodion a few weeks ago. It was taught by wet plate guru Mr. Frank Lopez (please check out his beautiful images here: www.franklopez.com ) I was waiting for my plates (well, mostly tintypes) to dry before scanning and showing you their awesomeness.  Since it has been over two weeks, I am pretty sure they are dry, but now I am too tired to mess with the scanner :)

tomorrow?

more thoughts tomorrow, too…

inspiration, hesitation, passion, etc.

(that I took)

another one

I can’t even say the word vulnerable correct;y. Ask my bff or husband. I know it is a part of life, but damn do I hate feeling any part of it. Of course this means I miss out on a lot of stuff. A lot. So I am declaring this year to be the year of vulnerability. Partly because we all could explore those places within ourselves we usually leave in the dark. Partly because it has inspired a new series of images (in my head, at least.) So we shall see. How does one become more vulnerable, you ask? More honest and open, yes. And risk taking for sure is involved. And, sigh, intimacy…that other thing I am freaked out by! So we shall see what develops. But I will make the pledge here, on this little ole blog that maybe 2 people read, that I will shoot shoot shoot, I will think think think, I will risk risk risk. Not necessarily in that order. I will continue to show my real work. I will make more attempts at exhibiting my work. I will be as true as I can be in my words, too.

Here’s another:

“2am”

more on the “V” word to come…

close.
